The area will be numb for an hour or so and then will be tender when the anaesthetic wears off. You may have a dressing over the area and you may be given an antibiotic cream to use. There will be dissolvable stitches that stay for 1-2 weeks.

The risks with this procedure are pain, bleeding, infection, scar and further treatment.

This depends on the biopsy result. You may be offered a topical treatment or further surgery.
